Donna K. Bonds
Donna
K. Bonds is the Resident Director at Daisye's Place. She has a
B.S. Degree in Education from Jacksonville State University.
She has been
faithfully dedicated and involved in "Care Ministry", "New
Beginnings" classes, "The River Choir",
a leader in "Celebrate Recovery",
outreach ministries
affiliated with her church and also personal outreach and
mentoring. God delivered her of a 25 year battle with drug
addiction in 1997 and she has been serving Him since
that time. |
"I have
called you back from the ends of the earth so you can serve me. For
I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don't be afraid, for
I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will
strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my
victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:9-10 NLT.
God gave Donna
a vision in 2004 that she would be working full time in a
ministry with people who were or had been involved in addiction. She
stepped out in FAITH in a direction God was asking her to go, not
understanding or having any answers to what He was doing in her life.
When she did, God miraculously and quickly opened the door for this
position at Daisye's Place as Resident Director.
"For I know
the plans I have for you, says the Lord, They are plans for good and
not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
NLT
While giving
her testimony on several occasions, she has made the statement, "If it
means me walking away from everything: my job, my home, my family, and
my church, I would do it to serve my Lord and Savior." Donna did just
that when she accepted the position as Resident Director of Daisye's
Place.
"...for you
must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don't
be afraid for I will be with you and take care of you. I, the
Lord, have spoken.? Jeremiah 1:7-8 NLT.
Donna joyfully
takes advantage of every opportunity to minister to anyone that God
places in her life, accepting them and loving them unconditionally. She
loves the Lord with all her heart and is eager and hungry to draw closer
to Him. She is continuously giving Him ALL the glory and honor and
praise for what He has done and is continuing to do in her life.
"I will
praise you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.
I will bless your name every day, and I will praise you forever.
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! His greatness is
beyond discovery!" Psalm 1451-3 NLT
