Welcome

"We cannot change the whole world, but we can change someone's world."  - Mother Teresa -

Daisye's Place, a family-style home located in a residential community in west Jefferson County, Alabama, provides  a safe and supportive environment for women to live after completion of a long-term substance abuse rehabilitation program.

Daisye's Place provides a home, hospitality, and opportunity...a place for a new beginning.

Daisye's Place is designed to bring hope, pride, and self-confidence to women who previously struggled with a life-controlling addiction and had no dreams of a secure future...a place for a new beginning.

Daisye's Place provides a hand-up, not a hand-out, so that residents can get back on their feet and gain self-sufficiency and independence...a place for a new beginning.

The goal of Daisye's Place is to assist women, who were previously substance-dependent, to develop self-confidence, obtain employment, transportation, and permanent housing, thereby decreasing the likelihood that they will become welfare dependent...to provide the opportunity for a new beginning.

Daisye's Place was founded in memory of Daisye Langston McCrary, the wife of an alcoholic husband. She died at only 53. She taught her four children faith, hope, and charity. And now her spirit lives on in the work of Daisye's Place.
